Hello, I’m Benjamin Weaver, a passionate educator and technology enthusiast. For the past 12 years, I’ve been teaching but I have just started my first year as a 5th grade science teacher. My journey into tech started when I taught a computer science class and began exploring programming on my own. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a deep interest in networking, cybersecurity, and web development.
Although I still love teaching and have a family, including three wonderful kids, my tech journey has become an integral part of my life. I’ve earned my CompTIA A+ certification, am working on my Network+, and diving deeper into topics like Security+, malware analysis, and virtualizing with Proxmox in my homelab. I enjoy building projects that combine my education background with my newfound passion for technology.
In addition to my work in the classroom, I run a homelab using both a home built UnRaid server and Proxmox on an old Dell server, where I experiment with web technologies, networking, and virtual machines. This blog and portfolio serve as a snapshot of my journey—from working with web design to experimenting with security techniques. I’m currently focused on learning malware analysis and building a solid foundation in networking, all while creating functional, impactful websites for myself and others.
Join me as I continue to learn, experiment, and share my experiences in web development, networking, cybersecurity, and more. I’m excited to document my progress, share what I’ve learned, and connect with like-minded individuals on this thrilling tech journey!
